This 2011 double sided, flip over avian calendar of the "Birds of Africa", Edition 1, is in full color and is available in sizes standard and small. The following birds are featured through the months January to December and their latin names, though not included on the back page, follow their common names. Cape White-eye (Zosterops Pallidus); Whitebreasted Cormorant (Phalacrocorax Carbo); Dabchick immature or Little Grebe (Tachybaptus Ruficollis); Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus); Kori Bustard or Gompou (Ardeotis Kori); Saddlebilled Stork or Saddlebill (Ephippiorhynchus Senegalensis); Longtoed or Whitewinged Plover (Vanellus Crassirostris); Bateleur immature (Terathopius Ecaudatus); Lesser Striped Swallow (Hirundo Abyssinica); Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus Ruber) and the Blackheaded or Blacknecked Heron (Ardea Melanocephala).
