The following birds are featured through the months January to December and their latin names, though not included on the back page, follow their common names. Cape White-eye (Zosterops Pallidus); Whitebreasted Cormorant (Phalacrocorax Carbo); Dabchick immature or Little Grebe (Tachybaptus Ruficollis); Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus); Kori Bustard or Gompou (Ardeotis Kori); Saddlebilled Stork or Saddlebill (Ephippiorhynchus Senegalensis); Longtoed or Whitewinged Plover (Vanellus Crassirostris); Bateleur immature (Terathopius Ecaudatus); Lesser Striped Swallow (Hirundo Abyssinica); Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus Ruber) and the Blackheaded or Blacknecked Heron (Ardea Melanocephala).
